Current state of Health
So I never did go see an endocrinologist, the doctors office never got back to on the referral and to be honest I didn’t push it because I well I wasn’t that interested in hearing what they would have to say. I DO NOT want to have my thyroid gotten rid of.В On the other hand I have recently taken to becoming very proactive in my own health. I have cut out as much processed food as I can. I’ve also cut out extra salt, I try to not even cook with it. I’m also down to one can of Soda a day and I’ll be changing that to none very soon. But all these diet changes also mean no more eating out. However in the in the process I’ve discovered lot’s of tasty new dishes. Last night we made chicken with pineapple salsa and it was really really good. Also I’ve noticed my cravings are changing around a bit, now I really crave the the taste of strawberry’s and blueberries.
Another change I made was I began I new vitamin regiment based on the book Graves Disease: A practical guide by Elaine A. Moore I decided the vitamins I needed were an Iron supplement, Super B-Complex, Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, and vitamin C. I’ve also begun taking a dessicated thyroid called Raw Thyroid. I really have begun to feel better, the first difference I noticed was the change in mood. I don’t feel so foggy any more all the time or down and depressed and because of this I feel motivated to make the other needed changes in my lifestyle. Such as a better diet and more exercise. Speaking of which I have begun physical therapy today will be my second session and to be honest I’m looking forward to it. I want to feel and be better and I know that this is the way to do it :). I also have a good support system My aunt and husband both have been very supportive of my changes from day one and for that I’m thankful.
